Isolated 2 miles of meandering Skamokawa Creek behind dikes, 5-foot diameter tide gate, and 18 inch corrugated metal pipe with gate valve “Freshwater” intake structure (never opened).

W. Conservation District / Columbia River Estuary Study Taskforce / Diking District 5 Partnership

Resource concerns: Eutrophying system (temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity due to algae blooms) limited/NO fisheries utilization, water quantity.
